even the buddha thinks i'm a slut and i got tickled in leicester square

i just want to say, postsecret, that this isn't a secret, ITS PART OF THE EXHIBIT I SAW AT THE TRIENNIAL AT TATE BRITIAN.

so good job, slacker. someone's good secret could have been posted instead.

and you could have given the artist credit.

i should be more forgiving. i went to the buddhist temple this afternoon. it was mildy intimidating as i didn't have beads to count the 108 chants and i was wearing this tank top and one of the dharma leaders came over and gave me a sweater and was like, "out of respect for buddha" and i'm like crap. it was a class and really interesting, really challenging, and i agreed wholeheartedly with the teachings presented. its such an open thought and belief process. the chanting and the movements are very physical. and when you say these sutras over and over you feel physically different. its quite tangible. there was only talk of peace and not of condemnation. i felt quite wonderful leaving the temple!

this was my first entire weekend off in a month. i worked 70 hours this week in 5 days. mau keeps saying "i'm tired" but at this point he knows better to say "i'm tired.......but not as tired as you, babe" instead. my mood has improved significantly as we are nearing the end of work in london and looking forward to cannes and i've been upping my sushi intake with the extra hours in my paycheck. i will be there a week from this very moment!
we celebrated my first saturday off by staying in bed til about 5:30 in the evening. it was highly unproductive and probably one of the best days of my life. mau made me bruschetta at about 2, finished off by tea and then we went back to bed.
we were on the underground on the way to camden and he noticed my hair had dried from my shower and said, it just comes out nice like that? you don't have to do anything to it?

last night i trekked down to parsons green (SW and i live in NW) for a co-worker's bday party. it was righteously awkward, no boys worth killing time with and there was only 1 other co worker besides the bday girl, who i had quite a nice time with. laura, the bday girl was drunk and soaking up her bday splendour/insecurities so i had my gin and lynchee and ended up flirting with her 22 year old brother who looks a bit like nick lache.

mmmmmmm i'm happy and its not even my birthday.

Was it two years ago we spent your actual birthday on the beach with cupcakes, Kayt, and a blowing sarong?
